Présentation

Ce Programme a pour objet principal la recherche dans les domaines politique, économique, social et de sécurité ayant trait à l'Afrique Centrale (particulièrement le Burundi, la RDC et le Rwanda). Les autres sujets de recherche incluent les développements majeurs sur le continent Africain (Union Africaine, intégration régionale, analyse des conflits, réconstruction d'après-conflit) et le rôle et la position de l'UE en Afrique Sub-saharienne.

Par le biais de ses propres projets de recherche, ses contacts et ses activités avec des institutions nationales et internationales (centres de recherche, ONG, pouvoirs publics), le programme vise aussi à contribuer au renom de l'expertise belge à l'étranger, ainsi qu'au renforcement de la recherche dans les pays d'Afrique centrale.

Le programme espère contribuer au large débat politique dans cette région, particulièrement en cette période cruciale de son histoire.
