Naar een nieuw Europees energiebeleid

Concept

Gedurende het laatste decennium werd de Europese agenda meer en meer gedomineerd door energie kwesties, wat resulteerde in, ondermeer, het Groenboek van 2006 inzake het uitbouwen van een gemeenschappelijk coherent Europees energiebeleid evenals een tweede strategische analyse van het energiebeleid in juli 2009. Inderdaad, gezien de veelzijdigheid van de energie vraagstukken, rakend aan aspecten van buitenlands beleid, milieu engagementen, zekerheid van voorziening mededinging en investeringen, leek een alomvattende benadering onontbeerlijk. Aldus zal het project energie de belangrijkste aspecten bestuderen van een nieuwe Europees energiebeleid: de Europese interne energiemarkt, de geopolitiek implicaties van energie, de commerciële en reguleringsaspecten, energie efficiëntie en hernieuwbare energiebronnen.
