De Toekomst van de EU
Sinds de Europese Raad van Laken in 2001 is de Unie geëngageerd in een uitgebreid constitutioneel proces dat, langsheen de Conventie, tot het Verdrag tot oprichting van een Grondwet voor Europa heeft geleid.

Versterkte Samenwerking - Flexibele Integratie
De idee en de praktijk van een Europa met verschillende snelheden
bestaan al geruime tijd maar het debat rond een meer flexibele Unie
is recent nieuw leven ingeblazen in de context van de
post-constitutionele crisis. De fundamentele vraag is welke de
potentiële toepassingen zijn van flexibiliteit in een Europa van 27,
hetzij op basis van de verdragen, hetzij op basis van een systeem
buiten het institutionele kader van de EU.
