On 25 Jan. Sven Biscop gave a guest lecture on the Common Security and Defence Policy of the EU in the UK’s Advanced Command & Staff Course at the Joint Services Command & Staff College in Shrivenham.
On 18 Jan. 2012 Thomas Renard gave a training on "internal-external security challenges" to a group of officers from the European Commission.
On 12 Dec. Sven Biscop spoke at a conference on the consequences of the Libyan crisis and the financial crisis for European defence, organized by Eurodéfense-France and IRSEM at the Ecole militaire in Paris.
On 8 Dec. Sven Biscop was invited by NATO’s Allied Command Transformation to participate in a seminar on “Smart Defence” in Washington DC, preparing the Alliance’s Chicago Summit.
