The future of the EU
Since the European Council of Laeken in 2001, the EU has committed itself to a constitutional process, which, through the Convention, has led to the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe.

Multi-Speed Europe - Flexible Integration
The idea and practice of a multi-speed Europe exists since a long time, but the debate on a more flexible Union has been intensified since the post-constitutional crisis. The key question is what could be the potential applications of flexibility in a Europe of 27, either on the basis of treaties, or in a system functioning outside the institutional framework.
