Bio

Sara Wilmet

Since March 2011, Sara Wilmet is Project Manager of the Observatoire de l’Afrique at the Africa Programme of Egmont (Royal Institute for International Relations)..

Before joining the Institute, Sara Wilmet worked as a Project Manager (2004-2008) and Communication Officer (2009) at the European Commission and as Attaché in International Relations at the Africa Department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs during the Belgium Presidency of the European Union (2009-2011).

Sara Wilmet holds a Licence in Information and Communication from Brussels University/ULB (2000). She also holds Master’s degrees in European politics, economics and law (2001) and European politics / specialization in foreign affairs (2003) both from the Institute for European Studies/IEE.

She is fluent in French and English.
