"Corporate Social Responsibility. Less government with more results?"

Presentation by Angela van der Heijden

This presentation considers Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as an organisational change process. This process affects organisational structure (policy, strategy) as well as the mental (culture, identity) fabric of the organisation. The process is characterized by general patterns, which are fleshed out in company-specific approaches. Understanding the process and its patterns enables managers to undertake successful implementation of CSR.

The presentation focuses on the implementation process of CSR and the approaches that companies develop to create their own meaning of CSR. I will elaborate on two questions: (1) What is the nature of the process? and (2) How do companies make sense of CSR?
