Ms. Vanlauwe joined the Egmont Institute since February 2000. She worked as a Senior Project Manager of the Education & Training Programme until oct.2018. She was in charge of the design, organization and implementation of the Basic Generic Training (BGT) on Civilian Crisis Management and was one of the trainers since 2011 (see past programmes). She also organised and implemented Pre-deployment Training (PDT) Courses for the Sahel region and other Training Courses in the framework of ENTRi (Europe’s New Training Initiative for Civilian Crisis Management) from 2012 until 2017.
When she joined the Egmont Institute, her first proposal was to create a website. Nowadays, she is still active as webmaster and Communication Officer in charge of social media for the Egmont Institute.
She obtained a Master in ‘History’ from the Catholic University of Leuven, a Master ‘Academic Teacher Education in History’, a Master in ‘Languages and Business’ and a Master in ‘Electronic Document Management’. She speaks English, French, Dutch and has a basic knowledge of German.
