Arzu Gulbakan



Arzu Gulbakan joined the Egmont Institute in September 2022 as an intern in the Africa Programme, where she assists the members of the programme.

Before joining the Institute, Arzu has worked as an intern in the political section of the Belgian embassy in Turkey and has been in charge of a Belgian non-profit organisation which focuses on increasing awareness of the European Union’s decision-making processes and legislative procedures.

She is currently completing a master’s degree in International Politics from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. She has obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Free University of Brussels (ULB) in 2020 and has done an exchange year at University College London between September 2019 and June 2020.
