Hannah Kay

Biography

Hannah Kay joined the Egmont Institute in November 2023 as a Trainee Programme Assistant for the European Affairs Programme. Her previous work experience includes research internships at a non-profit organisation in Senegal (DIADEM), at the European Migration Network, and at a documentary film production company (mint film office). She holds a Master of Arts in African Studies from Leiden University and a Master of Science in Sociology from the University of Amsterdam. As part of her studies, she conducted ethnographic fieldwork in Senegal, exploring the stories of migration told through art.  She has also conducted research on autonomous social movements in the Netherlands in the context of mobility struggles.
