Biography

 

Olivier (Ole) van Vredendaal joined the Egmont Institute in September 2022 as a Research Trainee in the European Affairs Programme.

Prior to joining the Institute, Olivier gained experience working as a research assistant with the International and European Studies research unit of KU Leuven (Catholic University of Leuven).

Olivier earned his Master of Science degree in International Politics from KU Leuven in 2021 and received his Master of Arts degree in European Studies from KU Leuven in 2022. He previously obtained the degree of Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Erasmus University College (Rotterdam, the Netherlands), where he also served on the board of the College’s debating society. Additionally, in 2022, Olivier was awarded the Master Thesis Award of the KU Leuven Faculty of Social Sciences for his research on NATO in the 21st century.
