Ms. Vanlauwe is currently Communication Officer and Webmaster. She joined the Egmont Institute in Feb. 2000 as webmaster.
Previously she was Senior Project Manager of the Education & Training Programme until Sept.2018. She joined the Training Programme in 2006 responible for the Project “EU Pedagogic Information Sessions” as a teacher and organiser. Since October 2010 she became in charge of the organisation of the Basic Generic Training (BGT) on Civilian Crisis Management. In 2011 she was involved in the ENTRi (Europe’s New Training Initiative for Civilian Crisis Management) projects (Pre-deployment courses, ENTRi annual meetings). From December 2011 onwards she was fully in charge of the organization, implementation and redesign of the BGT course on Civilian Crisis Management. She became also one of the full-time BGT-trainers (see past programmes). From 2012 until 2017 she also organised and implemented Pre-deployment Training (PDT) Courses for the “Sahel region” and other Training Courses in the framework of ENTRi (Europe’s New Training Initiative for Civilian Crisis Management).
She holds Master degrees in: ‘History’ from the Catholic University of Leuven, ‘Academic Teacher Education in History’, ‘Languages and Business’ and ‘Electronic Document Management’.
She speaks English, French, Dutch and has a basic knowledge of German.
