Biography

Dr Katsiaryna Lozka is a Joint Research Fellow at the Egmont Institute and the European Policy Center since September 2025.

Her research interests include Central and Eastern Europe, enlargement, and EU’s policies towards EaP countries. Katsiaryna holds a PhD in Political Science from Ghent University, an MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges and an MA in European Studies from Comenius University in Bratislava. Previously, she was a research fellow at the University of Oxford’s Belarus Observatory, a visiting researcher at the University of Vienna, the University of Tartu, and a research fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the US.

Katsiaryna’s research on Belarus and Ukraine, in particular, appeared, in the Journal of International Relations and Development, European Security, and the Journal of Slavic Military Studies, among others. She is part of the editorial board of the Belarusian Voices series published by Ibidem Press and is affiliated as a postdoctoral researcher with the Department of Political Science at KU Leuven.
