Karen van Loon
Karen van Loon joined the Egmont Institute in July 2022 as a Junior Researcher in the European Affairs Programme. Her research interests include the Arctic, Eastern Europe, arms control and nuclear non-proliferation.
Karen previously worked as a research associate at the University of Antwerp. She is an experienced educator and capacity-building specialist.
She has an MA in International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Antwerp and an MA and BA in Eastern-European Languages and Cultures from the University of Ghent.
