3–5 Dec 2025: Implementing the Revised ENA Curriculum – Training of Trainers in Kinshasa

As part of the ongoing support to the reform of the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA) of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Education & Training Programme of the Egmont Institute, in collaboration with FPS BOSA and the ENA, organised a Training of Trainers session from 3 to 5 December 2025 on the ENA campus in Kinshasa.

This three-day session brought together around twenty ENA trainers and formed an essential step in the effective implementation of the revised Initial Training curriculum, a Belgian–Congolese co-creation. This renewed curriculum will enter into force with the 10th intake of ENA students, marking a significant evolution in the training of the country’s future civil servants.

The programme focused on strengthening the pedagogical and methodological capacities of ENA’s teaching staff, with modules dedicated to training engineering, adult learning methodologies, and the principle of “learning to unlearn” to adapt to evolving public-sector requirements. This initiative supports ENA’s ambition to build a more effective and modern public administration by reinforcing the quality and professionalism of its trainers.

Through this effort, the Programme contributes to the development of a more capable and responsive civil service in the DRC, empowering those who will accompany future cohorts of public servants.
