On 5 June 2025, the Egmont Institute organised an online exchange of expertise for Belgian experts deployed in CSDP missions. The theme of this exchange was “the fight against corruption and building integrity”. This activity was organised in close collaboration with the FPS Foreign Affairs and the Civilian Operations Headquarters (CivOpsHQ) of the European External Action Service (EEAS). A total of 28 experts participated to this activity including experts from EUCAP Sahel Mali, EULEX Kosovo, EUAM Ukraine, EUPOL COPPS and EUAM Iraq. Furthermore, the activity benefited from the support of UNODC, NATO and the Federal Police. Following FPS Foreign Affairs’ opening remarks, the Head of Sector Operational Concepts/Head of Rule of Law Component of CivOpsHQ presented the December 2024 Operational Guidelines for Mainstreaming Anti-Corruption and Building Integrity in CSDP missions. Experts and partners shared their views, inputs and recommendations.
