Her intervention comes at a particularly crucial moment. The UN Security Council voted on Monday 17 November in New York Resolution 2803 which endorsed the United States-backed “Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict”. At the same time, the discussions during the 20 November Palestine Donor Group underline the benefits that can come from coordinating international support to the Palestinian Authority and reflecting on next steps for Gaza, with the two-state solution as an objective.

In this rapidly evolving context, Ms Trautmann’s presentation will be both highly relevant and exceptionally time sensitive. Her perspective will provide much-needed clarity on the challenges and opportunities that these parallel developments create for the future.
