He will share with us his experience as special UN envoy in his successive peace missions in some of the most hot spots and trouble-shooting areas on the globe such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, ex-Yugoslavia and more recently Syria.

He will speak on the role of the UN in such conflict-resolution and peace-building assignments and draw lessons learned these challenging assignments. 

The conference will be in English, but during the debate from 19:15 to 20:00,  questions can be asked in English and French.
