At the initiative of the Belgian Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade, and the Federal Cultural Institutions, Mrs Hadja Lahbib, the Education & Training Programme of the Egmont Institute organised an online Exchange of expertise on the “Consolidation of Peace & Security: Experience-sharing on the use of available tools and techniques” for 20 Women Diplomats from Mongolia, based in Ulaanbaatar as well as posted in Europe. The programme covered diverse topics over five half-day sessions. Modules included empowering women in diplomacy, addressing resistance to women’s participation in peace efforts, multilateral diplomacy challenges, human rights promotion in Belgium’s foreign policy, and implementing UNSCR 1325, among others.
