Supported by the Belgian Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs, the Belgian embassy in Niamey, the Ministry for public service and administrative reform of Niger and its National School of Administration (ENA), a support course for 10 women of the public administration of Niger took place in Niamey between October 2022 and February 2023. During these 5 months, the 10 participants have had the opportunity to be coached by Belgian experts on various topics such as communication & advocacy; mediation & negotiation; public policy analysis; ethics and integrity ; and leadership. This project also constituted an opportunity for the feminine leaders of the public administration of Niger to meet five of their Belgian homonyms including the Belgian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hadja Lahbib, who met with the participants on the 8th February. The course aimed to reinforce the statute of feminine high level civil servants in Niger, prompt inter-feminine solidarity by increasing the number of women leaders and encourage women and young girls to persevere in their education. The participants have been invited to a closing ceremony on the 17th February at the Belgian residence in Niamey to celebrate the end of this course and to present their common project for the future of the women and girls of their country.
