The (non)sense of eurozone level democracy

Post thumbnail print

Many advocate increasing the legitimacy of the eurozone, yet practical measures remain scarce. This Egmont paper discusses one of the few concrete proposals: the creation of eurozone level democracy.

The author weighs the advantages of eurozone level democracy against its inherent flaws, and finds that the idea merits further discussion in the European Parliament and elsewhere.
