Imane Tariki

Biography

Imane Tariki joined the Egmont Institute in September 2025 as a Trainee Project Assistant in the Education & Training Programme Team.

She holds a double master’s degree in international relations, earned through a joint programme between the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. At the ULB, she specialized in security, peace, and conflict studies, while at LUISS, her focus was on diplomacy.

Particularly passionate about conflict resolution and peacebuilding (at the international, national, and even interpersonal level) she dedicated her master’s thesis to examining police violence in Belgium. Her research employed a case study approach and drew upon postcolonial theories and concepts to explore the roots and dynamics of systemic violence in a Western context.
